The Azusa Street Revival

GIVEN all the demands that press in upon us as we deal with the stress of the present moment and living in angst about what is to come, it is easy to become disconnected from our past. Why even bother with what has been? Yet, as someone has said, if we don’t learn from the past, we are doomed to repeat the past. That is the negative side of why we should study the history of the Church. The positive side is that there is much in the past that will inspire, breathe into us hope, and create fresh motivation for our own historical journey. History is the harbor of our heritage and the fountainhead of our families.

Smith Wigglesworth On Prayer, Power And Miracles

Dr. Lester Sumrall once told me a personal story about Smith Wigglesworth that illustrates his bold and unashamed personality. He told me how Wigglesworth would frequently travel with his daughter Alice. She had a hearing problem and would often sit and listen to her father’s sermons with a “hearing horn.” Once, a man yelled from the audience: “Wigglesworth! If you are such a healer in the power of God, then why does your daughter need a hearing horn?” Unshaken by the question, Wigglesworth looked to the man and said, “When you can tell me why Elijah was bald, I’ll tell you why Alice needs a hearing horn.” Smith Wigglesworth never minced his words, and he was never shaken by religious persecution. I admire that quality in Smith Wigglesworth. In fact, I’ve always loved his ministry. I am continually blessed by the mixture of his boldness, his faith, and his compassion. As I’ve traveled throughout the world, I’ve found that others have never grown tired of his ministry. Smith Wiggleswort...

10 Curses That Block The Blessing

Even though God had delivered Larry completely from drug addiction, he had not been delivered from the uncontrollable outbursts of anger that had plagued his life. Larry had tried everything he knew, but he could do nothing to put these terrible moments of rage behind him. These outbursts would come upon him unexpectedly, and when they did, he said and did terrible things to his wife and even terrified his children. After violent episodes, he would apologize in tears and beg his wife to forgive him. Though he would promise to never lose his temper again, sooner or later his control would slip. During one extreme outburst he understood that he had become just like the generations before him, angry and violent. Though he had vowed never to do those things, he had become the very thing that he most hated. In a moment of revelation he knew that he was confronting a generational pattern, acting out his anger just as generations of his family had done before him. He went to the Bible a...

Failsafe Leadership

Consensus building is a characteristic of quality leadership. However such seeking of consensus and consulting widely should prepare the leader for making decisions and taking definitive actions. Indecisiveness is the number one kiss of death for leaders. Most great leaders have made their impact in moments of tremendous challenges by taking the bull by the horns at the appropriate time. An unspoken universal law of leadership is that people want their leader to make tough decisions and then lead them forward. Click Here To Download The Book

How To Earn $2,057/hr On Fiverr By Selling Digital Products

If you have never been to Fiverr.com, you should know that it is an awesome outsourcing site.  Jay Boyer of JJ Fast Publishing has been using it almost daily for his online business, and one day three years ago he decided to see if he could become a seller himself to offset some of the money that he was spending on the site. He had no interest in becoming a "normal" Fiverr seller. In other words, he didn't want to go by the service-based model that 99% of all Fiverr sellers are using. Click Here To Download The Book

A History Of The Early Church To A.D 500

At the outset we are faced by the difficulty of deciding whether there is or ought to be in any real sense a Christian society at all. A common notion is that original Christianity consisted in a recognition of the vital truths of the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man, and that all organisation is a departure from primitive purity. It is pointed out that in the history of most religious movements we find the first incentive given by some enthusiastic prophet, who with his immediate followers is swept forward on the crest of a wave of fanatical emotion. Those who come after him, however, are not able to maintain this exalted position, and endeavour to preserve what they can of the Master’s spirit by reducing his teaching to a code and hedging it about with the protective barrier of an institution. But in the process a great deal of the original enthusiasm and freedom is inevitably lost. This, it is often contended, has been the fortune of Christianity. The original inspiratio...

The Ultimate Social Media Plan

Today, social media platforms have invaded and taken over public consciousness. It has become a big part of day to day routines and an indispensable communication tool for people to connect and stay in touch. Consumers have used social media presence as one of the integral basis of a company’s legitimacy, reliability and viability. Businesses today are judged based on their Facebook or LinkedIn profiles, and consumers expect companies to respond to the concerns and queries they have tweeted within the day or within the hour. Suffice it to say, social media has managed to steal the thunder away from traditional marketing methods. Modern marketing strategies today have a mix of social media tactics as its integral component for reaching business goals. Click Here To Download The Book

Praise And Worship With Flags

Flags and banners can be used before a worship service to declare allegiance to God, who is our Banner. We can use the flags to rally and signal the troops (believers in the congregation and forces in the spirit realm) that we are about to engage in spiritual warfare. We are calling on Jesus as the Spirit of the Lord, Jehovah-Tsebaoth, to put our enemy to flight. Sometimes I would stand before the congregation during the invocation with two flags raised, one in each hand. I pray with the flags raised. I call on the Lord of Battles, the Spirit of the Lord. The Next Millionaire Next Door

Wealth is how much you accumulate. Net worth is your balance sheet—the net of your assets less your liabilities. Income is what you bring in over a period of time, and you report it on your annual income tax return. Periodic income certainly affects your net worth (balance sheet), but doesn’t define true wealth. Consider an individual who makes $1 million in wages in a year and spends $1.2 million in consumption during that same year. The wealth (balance sheet) impact would be negative $200,000. Experiencing Jesus

From the moment we are conceived, we have a built-in desire to run the world around us so that it benefits us and serves us completely. Let’s face it: We are all born with a self-centered, me-first identity. We emerge from the womb a cry baby, our sole purpose being to see that every whim, desire, and need is fulfilled by those who have obviously been placed in our lives to accomplish this. In our eyes, the world revolves around us. The description I have just given is the essence of the sin nature. There is not one sin we can name that cannot be labeled selfish and self-centered. Furthermore, the original sin is addressed in the first commandment, which contains the antidote to the sin nature: Click Here To Download The Book

I Will Never Be Broke Another Day In My Life

God wants His people prosperous and wealthy so we can establish His covenant in the earth, so whatever aspect of the gospel He needs to get to people, He can call on us to get it done. Having money is far more than owning houses and cars. Still, Isaiah 1:19 promises that, "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land." The good of the land is money. If you don't have money, you cannot eat the good of the land. You can be as spiritual as you want to be, but without money, you cannot drive the nice cars, live in the nice houses, dress in nice clothes or eat at nice restaurants. God's will for us as believers is revealed quite clearly in Psalm 66:12. "Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place." Click Here To Download The Book
