Lord, create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10). Show me where my attitude and thoughts are not what You would have them to be, especially toward my wife. Convict me when I am being unforgiving. Help me to quickly let go of any anger, so that confusion will not have a place in my mind. If there is behavior in me that needs to change, enable me to make changes that last. Whatever You reveal to me, I will confess to You as sin. Make me a man after Your own heart. Enable me to be the head of my home and family just as You created me to be.

When he emerges from the bathroom she is awake, propped up against the pillows and flicking through the travel brochures that were beside his bed. Many have achieved the heights that they dreamed of, only to be scandalized with sexual sin, like King David and Bathsheba, former President Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, Samson and Delilah etc. Many families are broken up and undermined due to this temptation. Worst of all sexual lust has put our generation at risk. The continent of Africa for example has been scorched with the devastating spread of HIV/AIDS as a result of sexual sin. Me Mad My Big Mouth

As believers, we need to understand the soul and be trained in discerning the activities of it. As defined in this study, the soul consists of the mind or intellect, the will, and the emotions. Since the soul is full of "self," it can and should be purified and rendered a vessel fit for the Master's use. (2 Tim. 2:21.) Our mouth gives expression to what we think, feel, and want. Our mind tells us what we think, not necessarily what God thinks. Our will tells us what we want, not what God wants. And our emotions tell us what we feel, not what God feels.
